Culture and support projects
The responsible business idea is relevant to the group of companies „Nesė Group" therefore it chooses socially responsible performance and follows these principles in its activity at the same time combining the interests of all stakeholders - the government, public organizations, owners, employees, suppliers, consumers and local community.
Principles of activity of „Nesė Group":
- Business ethics. The group of companies seeks that strict compliance with legal, ethical and professional standards in all fields of business.

- Employees. The group of companies aims at being the most desirable employer considering the obligation to ensure safe and appropriate working environment as a priority and underlines the importance of dialog between employer and employees.
- Society. The group of companies seeks for constructive dialog with society and supports social projects.
- Environment protection. The group of companies seeks for rational management and improvement of the use of natural resources, taking part in solving environment protection problems.
„Nesė Group" the bank of support projects
While supporting different social and culture projects the group of companies „Nesė Group" follows the principle of sharing the created welfare with the most socially vulnerable and support-lacking persons, supporting long-term projects that disseminate the aims of community where „Nesė Group" operates as well as creating attractive environment for work, rest and creative work.
„Nesė Group" and cultural heritage
The „Nesė Group" investments brought national objects of historical and cultural importance to a new life - complying to all requirements of heritage protection they were converted to representative entertainment complexes attracting both local community and quests. In this way one of the most spectacular buildings of Soviet times - former cinema building „Pergalė" designed by famous Italian architect Giovanni Rippa - Anjoleto and neglected with the passage of time - was restored in the capital Vilnius . The old bank building became the jewel of the Old Town in Klaipėda, and in Palanga - historical 19th century villa of the counts Tiškevičiai „Vila Aldona".
On „Nesė Group" initiative the monuments of small architecture are preserved. In Klaipėda the fountain named after famous German poet's S. Dach heroine "Anchen von Tharau" was built on the Theatre square - so called heart of the town; in cooperation with Klaipėda city municipality a fund-raising action was initiated where a share of „Nesė Group" income was contributed to the reconstruction and lightening of the fountain.
In order to facilitate solving of urgent problems of the only Lithuanian seaport, the Klaipėda Old Town businessmen union was established; one of the active members of the union is the chairman of the „Nesė Group" Board K. Paulikas. The main goals of the seaport businessmen are to preserve the authentic identity of the Old Town, to stimulate the development of Old Town's culture, arts and crafts, to improve its ecological situation.
Radio station „Vox Maris" controlled by the „Nesė Group" created a cycle of broadcasts called "99 stories about Klaipėda" in order to foster the national self-awareness and civic spirit of the society. Broadcasts are translated not only in Klaipėda region but also in Vilnius city. This initiative was evaluated by the commission of the Lithuanian radio and television (CLRT) as the best culture broadcast of regional radios in 2005.
„Nesė Group" - the cherisher of the city event's traditions
The group of companies is proud to be able to join to not only the fostering of the cultural heritage but also to the most famous city events. Many representative events have been supported by the group of companies in Lithuania's seaport Klaipėda where the headquarter of the „Nesė Group" is located.
The group of companies supports the main city festival - Sea Festival which draws hundred of thousands quests not only from Lithuania but also foreign countries to the seaport every year. Klaipėda Castle Jazz Festival - the other event, which brings free concerts of the world famous jazz performers to Lithuania that, receives annual support from „Nesė Group".
Radio station „Vox Maris" controlled by the „Nesė Group" has been supporting the projects of the main city's cultural institutions for a number of years - Klaipėda National Musical Theatre, Klaipėda Drama Theatre, Klaipėda Concert Hall (KCH), The History Museum of Lithuania Minor.
By fostering the traditions important to the city community „Nesė Group" itself puts efforts for creating such traditions. In Autumn 2007 to commemorate the International day without a car, the bike event and contest for „Nesė Group" cup was organized in Klaipėda for the first time. Having received warm responses and thanks from ecological organizations for the event, the „Nesė Group" management assured that the event would become traditional and would expand to other cities where the group of companies is developing its business.
„Nesė Group" support to the sports
Encouraging the healthy lifestyle and sportsmanship idea „Nesė Group" has already for several years been supporting different sports projects, children sports. In Spring 2007 the group of companies undersigned a long-term cooperation agreement with Klaipėda football school the main goal of which is to help developing perspective young football players, to stimulate their motivation. The first children indoor football Christmas tournament for „Nesė Group" cup took place and in 2008. This year "Nesė Group" supported the football team "Minija" in Kretinga also.
„Nesė Group" supported the idea to revive very famous in the past international children and junior box tournament „Gintarinė pirštinė". More and more participants come to this event year after year. Constant support is also provided to the efforts of disabled people in sports achievements: members of Klaipėda city sport club „Kentauras" have the opportunity to use free of charge the "Nese" sport base managed by leisure centers controlled by the „Nesė Group", other support is also provided.
The group of companies also supported other events of national level: „Omnitel" 1003 km distance race in Palanga in 2007 and girls' Christmas slalom contest.
There is also a lot of sports enthusiasts among „Nesė Group" employees. Having trained for several years „Nesė Group" football team will take place in the 2008 Klaipėda city championship. The bowling tournament "Bank versus Banks" takes place for a several years in a row where the bowling teams of national banks and the "Nesė Entertainment Bank" compete for the „Nesė Group" cup. Having started in Klaipėda city it has reached Vilnius in 2007.
Community and us
Social awareness and public spirit - integral part of „Nesė Group" support philosophy. We, as well as all socially aware people, can't be indifferent to painful disasters: when the fire of the century destroyed vast areas of unique Lithuanian nature in Smiltynė, radio station „Vox Maris" controlled by the „Nesė Group" together with the Curonian Spit National park initiated a support action prompting to join to the replanting of the forest.
On the initiative of the „Nesė Group" blood donation action in Vilnius and Klaipėda was organized - the employees of the group of companies were invited to become free blood donors, radio listeners after being urged by radio station „Vox Maris" have also joined these actions. „Vox Maris" has also supported the community of Laugaliai care home, took part in the project of joint charity and support fund „Laisva valia" ("Free will") where the raised funds were allotted to Lithuanian dolphin therapy centre and to diabetic children.
Klaipėda city has beautiful tradition - every year before Christmas city's daily „Vakarų ekspresas" elects outstanding Klaipėda citizens and organizes their awarding ceremony „Klaipėda resident of the year". In 2007 „Nesė Group" became a sponsor of this important event. Appreciating "Nesė Group" contribution to various support projects the organizers of the event granted a representative of the group of companies the privilege to give the main award - Philanthropist of the year .
The company cares about the city's there it was established and progressive "Nesė Group' activity ideas were developed esthetic view - "Nesė Group" annually supports the competition for "The Best Christmas Window-case" in Klaipėda. The initiatives of the Board of Lithuanian youth organizations and the Klaipėda I. Simonaitytė library's community events have been also supported for many years.
